Another beautiful day!

Ah yes, another beautiful morning and day to follow. Cold and frosty in the early morning hours and by noon we will be well over 55* again! I love it! The maple sap will be running for sure!

When talking to my hubbs last night we talked about the small town I lived in before moving to Michigan 12 years ago.

Chardon, Ohio! Just saying that instantly brings the gazebo in the square to mind with the maple house chimney smoking. The end of February was when we would notice the buckets hanging from dozens of Sugar Maples that lined the streets. Nearly every evening on my way home (Hambden Twp.) from work, I would see a fellow on a tractor pulling a cart loaded with a huge plastic container, pouring sap into the container. Once full, he would make his way back to the Square and add that batch to what was already cooking in the Maple House. The area smelled so good up until the Sunday after Easter when the Maple Festival would be held. Kinda miss that time. My daughter and I really enjoyed those times.

But I really love the life I have chosen with Klaus, no boredom here! But there are times now, maybe a little too frequently, where I would like us to be somewhere quiet. The truck traffic on the highway coming and going to Canada and such has increased and grates on my nerves.

Don't get me wrong, I truly do love this house but the noise, water issues, constant mud and black muck are increasing my anxiety levels. So much so my antidepressants have been increased. I cannot relax. I keep the TV on most of the day during the winter months to lessen the sound but that gets annoying too.

Sorry if I seem whiny , my Fibromyalgia has kicked in, my fault, I pushed myself a little too hard outside in this fantastic weather.

Last night I caught the tail end of yet another car that went off the road. They took off when I opened the door. Sigh!

On the lighter side, last night as I let the dogs out after dinner a herd of 7 deer were at the bird feeder. Sammy and Anna were nearly on them before they threw their tails up and trotted off. Seemingly annoyed the dogs disturbed them instead of the scared full out run you would normally see.

Today I'll just be grooming the boys and do some light roadwork and maybe do some more cleanup in the gardens cutting back dead stuff making ready for Spring.

Hope you all get out in the warm sunshine today!
